About
To talk to Misha, one would never suspect he's from California. You will detect no ego. No posturing. No self-aggrandizing. Not even the faintest toot of his own horn. Contrarily, Misha was born in San Francisco, raised in Santa Barbara and currently resides in L.A.
As a child Misha dedicated himself to bike stunts and impressing adoring females. His mom was not among them. Mrs. Gravenor diverted her son's tomfoolery with a Kodak box camera. And so began the infatuation.
Eventually, Misha snapped his last neighbor's portrait. So he packed up and enrolled in the renowned photography program at Art Center in Pasadena. Misha quickly earned his chops and parlayed them into gigs with local magazines.
Requests for his book soon followed. So far they've culminated into a stellar client roster along with a portfolio that elicits superlatives. PDN, Communication Arts, American Photography have honored him. Mom's elated.
When he's not fussing over bounce lighting, Misha enjoys discussing the merits of bands like Galaxie 500. White Russians are his signature cocktail. He travels well. Has yet to win a game of Texas Hold 'Em. And generally prefers not talking about himself.
